Questions, answered.
What files can I upload?
STL files — the relief models you get from MakerWorld and similar sites. Image support (JPG/PNG to relief) is in development and coming soon.
How do credits work?
Buy a credit package, and each file you process uses one credit. If a job ever fails, your credit is refunded automatically.
What size should I choose?
Enter your artwork size in millimeters. If you add a border, it’s added around the artwork — so 26mm artwork plus a 1mm border makes a 28mm finished piece.
What’s the slice size for?
It must match the slice size you use in your engraving software. This keeps the alignment ring on layer 000 only, so you can trace to center the piece and then disable that single layer.
Why does my file look thicker than expected?
MakerWorld files pad the base with duplicate layers that inflate the thickness. ReliefForge trims that dead base automatically, so your software shows your true engraving depth.
Should I resize the file in my engraving software?
No — set your size here before importing. Resizing in your engraving software rescales the diameter and border. Import the prepped file as-is.
